Robby Fabbri was quick to make a move to the Detroit Red Wings on Friday.

One who was acquired St. Louis Blues two days earlier scored two goals, including the winning net, in a 4-2 win over the mighty Boston Bruins (To see above).

Here are six players who have distinguished themselves in their first match with their new team in recent years:

Raphael Diaz, February 4, 2014

Traded by the Montreal Canadiens the day before in return for Dale Weise, defenseman Raphael Diaz donned the needle in his first game.

This is the only goal scored by Switzerland with Vancouver. The club sent him to the New York Rangers a month later.

Ryan Johansen, January 8, 2016

Ryan Johansen of the Predators got all the space needed to operate on the power play against the Colorado Avalanche.

The new Preds striker put the puck in the top corner of Semyon Varlamov's net from his first shot in his new uniform.

Josh Leivo, December 4, 2018

Josh Leivo scored in his Canucks debut on a perfect pass from a rookie named Elias Pettersson. On his first shot in the Canucks uniform, he lodged the puck over Minnesota Wild's Devan Dubnyk's cracker.

Leivo moved to BC following an exchange between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Canucks, who surrendered Michael Carcone in return. The latter, a former Voltigeurs Drummondville, still waiting for his baptism of fire in the NHL, by the way.

Daniel Sprong, December 5, 2018

Played by the Pittsburgh Penguins against Marcus Pettersson two days earlier, Daniel Sprong beat Corey Crawford with a narrow-angle shot on his first night with the Ducks.

Added value, the former Islanders of Charlottetown managed the feat with a jersey Mighty Ducks. All that was missing was the "V" training!

Nikita Scherbak, December 8, 2018

Former Canadiens first-round pick Nikita Scherbak hit the back of the net in his first game in the Los Angeles Kings, against the Golden Knights of Vegas.

On his very first shot in the Kings' uniform, the 22-year-old Russian deceived Marc-Andre Fleury, using defenseman Nate Schmidt as a screen.

Jordan Weal, March 5, 2019

Jordan Weal's debut with the Canadiens was memorable. Ten days after his arrival, he helped his team win 3-1 against the Kings in Los Angeles with a mid-game goal. This success would not have been possible without the strong effort of Joel Armia, who did not get any help on the sequence.

Weal was acquired from the Arizona Coyotes on Michael Chaput's return trade date.
