The Seattle Sounders made history this Sunday by presenting a starting team in which nine of the eleven players are foreigners.

Coach Brian Schmetzer, of the Sounders, decided on the goalkeeper Stefan Frei (Switzerland) and defenders Kelvin Leerdan (Netherlands), Roman Torres (Panama), Kim Kee-hee (South Korea) and Brad Smith (Australia).

In the center of the field put the Swede Gustav Svensson, from Trinidadian Joevin Jones and Uruguayan Nicolas Lodeiro, while Peru's Raul Ruidiaz came out on the tip.

For Toronto, coach Greg Vanney, decided on five foreign players in the starting lineup with the goalkeeper Quentin Westberg (France), the Auro Jr. defenders (Brazil) and Chris Mavinga (France), while in the attack they left Tsubasa Endoh (Japan), Alejandro Pozuelo (Spain) and Nicolas Benezet (France).
