The expectations put by Publisher Take-Two on the recently released The Outer Worlds have been met and even exceeded.
Publishers put in every game that appears, including The Outer Worlds, certain expectations that are met at best. Depending on these expectations but in areas that would be almost too good to be true. But not in the role-playing game by Obsidian Entertainment. Publisher Take-Two has now announced in a financial report that the title has even exceeded its own expectations. What this means exactly, however, the company left open. So there are no exact sales figures or information about the generated turnover of the game. Unfortunately, this does not tell us what the distribution of sales between PC and console versions is.
But there are numbers for other brands of the publisher. That's how Grand Theft Auto 5 has sold more than 115 million times. The Western epic Red Dead Redemption 2 comes shortly after the release of the PC version, on good 26.5 million units sold. The Outer Worlds appeared on October 26, 2019 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the PC. In early 2020, a version for the Nintendo Switch will follow. How good the title really is and what you can expect, you can read here in our test. Spoiler: Especially role-playing fans get their money's worth here.
