The PSC would be the preferred political force in the province of Barcelona, when taking eight seats when the count of the general elections exceeds 99.97% of scrutiny, which would mean a deputy less than during the previous elections in this region. The training led by Pedro Sanchez would have been done with 21.81% of the ballots, a percentage that would be worth it to be ahead of ERC-Sobiranistes, which would be done with seven seats, one less than last time in this region, according to the data offered so far by the Ministry of Interior.

The mobilization to the polling stations nationwide has been 69.88% while in the province it has reached a 72.96%, being less than the data collected in the previous elections. Except for those of April 2019, the trend has been decreasing since in 1982 the maximum participation data of history was marked, when 80% was reached, and it complies with the premise of descent of the only precedent of electoral repetition in Spain, in June 2016, when the influx at the polls fell more than 3.4 points compared to 73.2% in December 2015.

Senate

Participation in the election of senators, which in addition to constituencies is configured according to the autonomous representation, has decreased with respect to that of Congress, by marking a 71.6%. ERC-Sobiranistes and the PSC would tie two assembly members in the upper house. The list of senators that would correspond to each group is reproduced below:

  • ERC-Sobiranistes: Mirella Cortes i Ges and Ana Maria Surra i Spadea.
  • PSC: Manuel Cruz Rodriguez and Elia Tortolero Orejuela.

In any case, these results are not definitive and will have to wait at the end of the scrutiny, which is usually set around an hour and a half after the polling stations are closed, that is to say from 10:30 p.m., with the exception of possible setbacks or incidents that could occur in specific places, which would cause it to be terminated later, as was the case of one of the schools of Xativa (Valencia) in the last elections of April, which delayed its closure 45 minutes and therefore delayed the count. This is a public process that the president of each polling station carries out one by one removing the envelopes from the polls, while reading aloud the name of the party or the elected candidates and teaching the ballot to the vowels, auditors and empowered In case any of those present expresses doubts about the result, they could request the ballot to proceed with their examination and, once the matter is resolved, the scrutiny document is extended, which must be posted at the school door.
