The winner of GTE Pro, disqualified from the 4h of Shanghai

The Ferrari 488 GTE # 51 team AF Corse team has been excluded from the final results for a violation with the height of the car.

This makes the Porsche 911 RSR driven by Kevin Estre and Michael Christensen, who finished less than seven seconds from the Italian car, inherit the victory of the third appointment of the 2019/20 WEC in the category GTE Pro.

The second of the official Porsche, shared by Gianmaria Bruni and Richard Lietz, climbs to second place, while Maxime Martin and Alex Lynn keep the last step of the podium with their Aston Martin Vantage GTE.

The height of the Ferrari was below the minimum 50 mm in the post race checks.

The text of the commissioners ensures that the team assumed that the car had been damaged in an incident with one of the Porsche at the start of the race or when touching the Ferrari # 62 of Red River Sport.

But there were no signs of damage during an intensive review of the vehicle, which the team accepted.

The commissioners, therefore, concluded that there was no "acceptable explanation for the lower height of the flat bottom" and imposed the disqualification.
