Villa Clara, Cuba. – The Commander of the Revolution Ramiro Valdes Menendez, received the distinction of the Illustrious Son of Villa Clara, granted only once by the Provincial Assembly of Popular Power, and approved by the delegates of that governmental body.
They guarantee the badge delivered in the Ordinary Session of the Government in that territory, their participation in the Assault on the Moncada Barracks and as an expeditionary of the Granma yacht, and the fulfillment of numerous tasks throughout the years of Revolution, in the service of the Homeland.
The vice president of the Council of Ministers also received the distinction of the Illustrious Son of Villa Clara, for his close ties with that province, in his mission to promote programs and investments that have repercussions for the country.
The recognition of the Hero of the Republic of Cuba was given by Alberto Lopez, president of the Government in that territory.
