Havana, Nov 10 (ACN) The main Cuban triathlete, Leslie Amat, will compete today at the Santo Domingo World Cup in the Dominican Republic, the 17th stop of the event and the closing of the annual circuit.

The lid will be the fourth World Cup in recent weeks for the Cuban, chosen by the Development Team of the International Triathlon Union (ITU).

In the tournament, points will be played for the Olympic ladder heading to Tokyo 2020, a list in which the Cuban is currently in place 120, after ascending five positions, with a total of 674.64 points in a ranking of 283 triathletes.

In Santo Domingo, 6:30 in the morning (local time) will begin the fight between 66 contestants from America, Europe, Asia and Australia, who will compete in the Olympic distance, when making 1,500 meters of swimming, 40 kilometers (km) of Cycling and 10 km of race.

The swim will take place in two laps to a rectangular circuit of 750 meters, in the Naval Marina of San Souci, the cycling stage will travel a route five times from the avenue Spain and the race will take place in three routes to a section of the same area , in a flat asphalt course, with a goal inside the Navy.
