Twenty-two migrants trying to cross the Channel to England aboard a small boat were intercepted Sunday morning by the British authorities, said the British Interior Ministry.
The migrants, whose nationalities were not communicated, were arrested by the border police and taken to Dover (south-east) for questioning by the immigration authorities.
Since the end of 2018, crossing attempts have multiplied in the Channel despite the danger linked to the density of traffic, strong currents and the low temperature of the water.
Friday, twenty men had been arrested aboard two small boats.
