November 9, 2019, 10:25 p.m.Caracas, Nov. 9 (Prensa Latina) The United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) expressed its strong condemnation of the coup d'etat driven by violent sectors of the right against the constitutional president of Bolivia, Evo Morales.

The largest Venezuelan political organization said in a statement that through the coup pretensions "it is intended to ignore the overwhelming victory achieved by the Bolivian people in the historic elections of last October 20", when Morales won the reelection in the first round with 47 Percent of the votes. The PSUV said that "under a violent script similar to that put into practice in Venezuela by the fascist right under the auspices of the US government," the coup attempt promoted by the Bolivian opposition ignores the efforts made by President Evo Morales in favor of Peace and political dialogue.

The Venezuelan socialists reaffirmed their unwavering solidarity with the people and government of Bolivia, while calling on social and political organizations, trade unions, parliamentary bodies, cultural and academic alliances in Latin America to speak out and mobilize in defense of Bolivian democracy.

"(?) We must all step forward in this hour of solidarity with our sisters and our Bolivian brothers, demonstrating that Evo and his people are not alone," concludes the PSUV statement.

The president of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, denounced earlier the attempted coup d'etat underway against President Evo Morales; 'All solidarity and support for our South Indian chief. We demand respect for the will of the Bolivian people who re-elected him as their president, 'the dignitary wrote on Twitter.

To the official position of the Venezuelan Executive were added pronouncements of political organizations and social movements against the actions of violent groups that seek to ignore the results of the elections of October 20 last.

"Again the elites who do not accept that our peoples appropriated democracy to overcome the historical system of exclusion in our societies ignore the will of the majority," said socialist leader Elias Jaua.

Morales denounced this Saturday that a violent coup d'etat is underway against the peasants, the indigenous people, the humble classes that elected their president, by civic groups that do not respect the election results.

The Bolivian president called a dialogue table to pacify Bolivia, given the recent acts of violence in the country by anti-democratic groups that promote a regime change through unconstitutional channels.
