Virgil Abloh capsule collection at Ikea triggers riots

the essential
American designer and art director Louis Vuitton, Virgil Abloh, designed a capsule collection, in collaboration with the deco giant Ikea. Its launch has given rise to scenes of impressive riots in stores around the world.

Endless queues, fans sleeping in front of the door of the store, frantic races to reach the room first and scenes of violent crushes. This is the special welcome to the launch of the capsule collection imagined between Virgil Abloh and Ikea. "Markerad" is fourteen pieces: chairs, rugs or clocks to (re) decorate its interior like the famous stylist and artistic director of Louis Vuitton.

Crowd scenes around the world

In stores in the United States, Switzerland or Belgium, fans rushed to the opening. In Belgium, some even decided to camp in front of the closed door of the store, as reported on the Belgian website 7sur7, To be sure to be the first to discover the special collection.

Elsewhere, real scenes of riots surprised the employees of the giant of the decoration. Each customer had the right to buy up to ten items.

On the internet for French buyers

In France, it is impossible to witness such scenes. French stores will only offer the products of the collection on the internet and to a certain number of people, drawn from among the registered members of a dedicated list.

In the Belgian stores, the entire collection has expired in fifteen minutes. Proposals for resale of items sold out should not be delayed. Be careful, however, at prices that could reach highs.
