Dion Waiters suffers a panic attack after consuming an edible with cannabis

Dion Waiters is on duty court. Undisciplined, provocative … and now protagonist of one of the most extravagant episodes in the NBA for quite some time. According to sources of ESPN, the Miami player suffered a panic attack on Thursday's flight that led the team to Los Angeles to play against the Lakers. The reason? For consuming cannabis treats (containing tetrahydrocannabinol, THC). As is, just as it is.

Waiters had to receive medical treatment once the plane landed in California. The team left their player off the list of participants in the duel against the Angels, highlighting that it was a sick leave. Interestingly, Waiters missed the duel last night against the Suns due to stomach aches and, looking for something to take away those discomforts, he swallowed the aforementioned goodies.

Although Miami has not wanted to make any official communication at the moment, the league is very clear with the legal aspect that involves such an unlikely circumstance as this one: the use of any substance containing THC, the main psychoactive constituent of cannabis, is prohibited.

Worried course start

We have been with this new season for a short time, but Waiters has already bundled it with its franchise. Just three weeks ago, Waiters was suspended with the Heat for inappropriate behavior. He was suspended with a match due to his "harmful conduct for the team," as Pat Riley himself emphasized. The Miami president went on to say that “there have been a number of unacceptable incidents that have culminated in his non-professional conduct on the bench yesterday night. As a consequence, we have decided to suspend him. ” Apparently, what caused those temper tantrums was that he was not happy with his role as a non-titular player.
