The Bay was the last team that had defeated Flamengo, already three months ago, 3-0, in the first round of the league, and in this reunion he got to scare the team led by the Portuguese Jorge Jesus.
In a packed Maracana, mostly due to Flamengo fans, the Bay took advantage in the 39th minute with a goal in William Arao's own door and with that result he went to rest.
Although the shadow of the game of the first round glided over the fans, Flamengo returned with other vigor and tied in the 54th minute through Reinier, one of his youngest promises.
The pressure of the team led by the Portuguese Jesus was intense from that moment and in the 27th minute Bruno Henrique turned the score, while almost over the end Gabriel Barbosa 'Gabigol' finished sentencing the match.
With the victory, Flamengo reached 74 points, ten more than Palmeiras, second in the standings and this Saturday made things easier for the leader, by drawing 1-1 with Corinthians.
In third place is Santos, but also with almost no chance of getting close to Flamengo.
The team led by Argentine Jorge Sampaoli has 64 points, the same as Palmeiras, but with a worse goal difference.
Santos also played this Saturday and won the Goias 0-3, in a match in which Venezuelan Yeferson Soteldo shone, who scored two goals and gave Marinho assistance for the other.
With Flamengo packed towards the title, the unknowns of the Brazilian league begin to focus on the other three teams that will get their qualification for the 2020 Libertadores Cup.
The places are reserved for the first four, although the fifth could achieve one if Flamengo wins the regional tournament, whose final will be played against the Argentine River Plate on the 23rd day in Lima, in a single match.
So far, two of those tickets seem reserved for Palmeiras and Santos.
In the fight for the other possible, the favorites are the Guild and Sao Paulo, although the latter stumbled into his own home this Sunday against the Paranaense Athletic and lost 0-1. EFE
