MVP candidate Lamar Jackson is writing history

Munich / Cincinnati – Lamar Jackson was unstoppable in the game against Cincinnati Bengals. The Baltimore Ravens 22-year-old quarterback was the big winner at the spectacular 49:13. His impressive numbers: He brought 15 of his 17 passes to the finish, came on 223 passing yards, threw three touchdown passes, he himself also 65 yards and another touchdown.

So the first-round pick from 2018 has twice made history: Jackson is now one of only three players in the Super Bowl era with Aaron Rodgers (2019) and Hall-of-Famer Joe Montana (1989) Passes, a rushing touchdown and a perfect passing score in a game of at least 15 passes.

But that's not all: Jackson is also only the second quarterback, who reached two games in a season with a perfect pass rating of 158.3. Before him succeeded only Ben Roethlisberger, quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers, in 2007 this feat.

At least now, Jackson should be a serious candidate for the award of the MVP.

"It's just amazing, it's changing our game," praises offensive liner Marshal Yanda. The quarterback himself was unimpressed and said about his success story: "You just have to continue."

For his opponents, this may sound like a threat.
