It was reported that, for the time being, the existing reservation system will continue to operate, taking reservations before and after the transition.

Current owners, through ESJ Resort LLC, will continue to own El San Juan Hotel. The hotel owners and Hilton will conclude their franchise agreement for El San Juan Hotel, CurioCollection by Hilton effective at 11:59 p.m. from January 2, 2020. On this date, the hotel will cease operations as part of the Hilton brand, and Fairmont will assume the management of Fairmont The San Juan Hotel. All reservations for stays and events dated after January 2 will be honored by Fairmont.
