Achieving Less Good Results Ahead of the Madrid Derby, Zidane Refuses to Panic – Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane tries to stay calm even though he just got a bad result ahead of playing the derby against Atletico Madrid, 7 March.

Real Madrid was only able to win a draw when they hosted Real Sociedad in Week 26 of the Spanish League. Los Blancos even almost lost the match which took place on Tuesday (2/3/2021) in the morning WIB.

Thibaut Courtois’ goal conceded first through Portu’s action in the 55th minute, before Vinicius Junior saved Real Madrid’s face by scoring an equalizer in the 89th minute.

The result clearly raises doubts over Madrid’s inconsistent performances this season. Even so, Zidane refused to panic and tried to think positively ahead of the derby match.

“We will remain calm because in the end this can happen. Today we played well and they could not penetrate us,” said Zidane. AS, Tuesday (2/3/2021).

“There are teams that can score goals for you and in the end the result is two points at home.”

“Regarding the derby, the way we look at it will not change. We are against a team that is at the top of the standings,” he added.

The draw against Sociedad made Toni Kroos and his friends not move from third place with a collection of 53 points or the equivalent of Barcelona who sit one strip above it.

Meanwhile, with Atletico Madrid, Los Blancos are now five points adrift and that difference could have increased considering that Los Rojiblancos still have one match savings.
