Approval of a Greek program of 26 million euros to support the primary sector

The European Commission has approved a 26m-euro Greek program to support companies operating in the primary agricultural sector affected by the coronavirus epidemic, the commission said in a statement. The scheme was approved under the temporary State Aid Framework. The public support, which will take the form of direct grants, will be open to companies active in primary production (farmers) in Greece in the fields of buffalo farming, watermelon production outdoors, greenhouse crop production (with the exception of Crete). ), and potato production in summer and autumn.
