Suara.com – Omar Richards, fullback left who plays for English Championship Division (second division) club Reading is confirmed to join the European giants sextuple, Bayern Munich on a four-year contract in the summer transfer market.
Bayern’s interest in the 23-year-old former England U-21 national team member is known to have been going on for a long time.
Especially after Richards was openly reluctant to extend his contract with Reading which ends in the summer of 2021.
As claimed by the famous British media Sky Sports, Tuesday (2/3/2021), Bayern was able to convince Richards to leave Reading and continue his career in the German Bundesliga.

In fact, Richards has completed medical tests even though in the UK there are travel or arrival restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The transfer agreement was reached between representatives of Richards and Bayern on Monday afternoon (1/3/2021) local time, after a three-month negotiation process.
Interestingly, Bayern itself already has two top players in the post fullback left, namely Alphonso Davies and Lucas Hernandez.
It’s hard to imagine Richards ever securing a place at the post fullback Bayern left, but the left-handed player who graduated from the Reading academy is indeed also fluent in playing as winger left.
In the 2020/2021 campaign, Richards has played 29 times in the Championship Division plus once in the Premier League Cup with Reading.
