Qiwi co-founder Boris Kim will step down as head of the company. His place will be taken by Andrey Protopopov, who currently manages the payment segment of the group. The resignation and new appointment will take place in June this year, a Qiwi spokesman told RB.ru.
From product management, IT and payment services to the head of Qiwi: Andrey Protopopov will replace Boris Kim
Kim has been leading the Qiwi Group since January 15, 2020. In this position, he replaced the co-founder and majority shareholder of the company, Sergei Solonin.
Andrey Protopopov has been a member of the Qiwi management team since 2013. Prior to his appointment in 2019 as head of the group’s payment services, he held the position of Director of IT and Product Development for 4 years. From September 2013 to June 2015, Protopopov headed the product management department.
