The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Donika Gervala Schwartz, informed the Austrian Minister for European and International Affairs, Alexander Schallenberg, that Kosovo will analyze the negotiations so far in detail, and then make a strategy for continuing the dialogue on normalization of relations with Serbia.
In a telephone conversation, Gervala Schwartz pointed out that only by creating a new strategy can there be a true dialogue and a lasting solution in relations with Serbia.
The Austrian Federal Minister for European and International Affairs, Alexander Schalenberg, expressed Austria’s full support for Kosovo in the first conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Donik Gerval Schwartz.
The topics of conversation were the political situation and cooperation in the region, as well as Austria’s contribution in providing a contingent of vaccines for the Western Balkans, for which Gervala Schwartz thanked on behalf of Kosovo.
Federal Minister Schalenberg emphasized that Kosovo enjoys great sympathy in Austria and is high on the list of foreign policy priorities of his country.
Gervala Schwartz also asked for Austria’s support in Kosovo’s efforts to gain diplomatic recognition from EU members that have not yet done so.
