After the Beach Boys and David Crosby, Linda Ronstadt became the next artist to sell her catalog to Irving Azoff’s new company, the Iconic Artists Group. The group’s collaboration with Ronstadt, its manager for many years, John Boylan and its personal assistant, Janet Stark, aims to preserve in the digital age the legacy of one of the best-selling artists of all time: collaboration with services streaming and social media, album reissues, anniversaries and more.
Azoff’s company announced the deal shortly after the Ronstadt documentary “The Sound of My Voice” won a Grammy for Best Music Film. In the fall of 2022, Ronstadt will release Feels Like Home: A Song for the Sonoran Borderlands, a book about her Mexican roots.
“Trusting Linda and John to have the honor of furthering her work is one of the most fulfilling moments of my career,” Irving Azoff told Rolling Stone magazine. “Linda’s talent is unparalleled, but her legacy is her courage and dedication to making important music in a variety of musical genres. At all costs, we will preserve for this very legacy. Thanks, Linda and John. We will not disappoint you “.
“I am very happy with this cooperation. It is a great pleasure to be with Irving Azoff, his team and the family of great artists he has created, many of whom have been my friends and colleagues for years. I feel at home, “added Linda Ronstadt.
