Football. A majority still supports the Danish boycott of the Qatar World Cup, according to a poll conducted by Megafon for TV2. 44 percent of Danes believe that Denmark should boycott next year’s World Cup in Qatar if the national football team qualifies for the final round. 39 percent of the respondents in the poll believe that the national team should participate if it succeeds in playing for a World Cup place. The last 17 percent have not answered. Earlier this month, a poll conducted by Voxmeter for Ritzau showed roughly the same opposition to the controversial World Cup, which has cost thousands of guest workers their lives.
