Every week a host of games are released on Steam. Valve’s platform continues to welcome newcomers, such as Subverse, an adult sci-fi game that landed on March 26th. And unlike many of his cronies, Subverse seems to be of quality, judging by the first published reviews.
a sci-fi game for adults
Head to the Prodogium Galaxy in Subverse, “a sexy new sci-fi parody where you command your own spaceship filled with the sexiest girls in the galaxy, ready to bring your fantasies to life in fully animated love scenes“. You will understand, you will not be unemployed in this game for adults. Exit the outdated hentai games, Subverse describes himself as “an old-fashioned PC gaming experience, developed from A to Z for savvy adults by a team of disgusting perverts“.
Funded on Kickstarter in 2019 to the tune of $ 2.3 million, Subverse seems to tick all the boxes. Barely released and eagerly awaited by an informed public, the sci-fi game enjoys nearly 5,400 reviews on Steam, for an average of 86% positive reviews. An early access game that still has beautiful sides, like its animations, lights and cutscenes, its voice acting and its space battles. The quality of the 3D models of the female protagonists was also highlighted.
In Subverse, you will have to win fights to unlock explicit scenes. Some are called “premium” and even allow you to control the playback speed as well as the moment of apotheosis. No microtransaction is present, neither lootbox, nor daily rewards. A waifus crew awaits their captain, in view of noticeable cutscenes. Characters who will also increase the power of your ship to further spice up the gameplay.
Subverse should see its content tweaked and expanded thereafter. Additional content is planned, enough to convince some reluctant players. A game that seems to be popular, although it is not without its flaws. For example, don’t expect narration worthy of the biggest studios. Subverse is currently sold for € 24.99 on Steam.
