Unlike in Lithuania, Italy does not allow judges to vaccinate without a queue

Italian judges and prosecutors were angry at the country’s politicians when they heard that they would have to wait for the coronavirus vaccine with other people on an equal footing, threatening to work only formally – to delay court hearings and other procedures.

According to the guidelines set out back in December, it was already clear that professionals who had a lot of contact with other people – of course doctors, as well as teachers – would need to be vaccinated alongside the oldest and most vulnerable.

At the time, it was true that it was not announced whether lawyers and judges would be classified as priority staff for the public.
