What games are offered on PS4 and PS5 in April 2021?

PlayStation Plus is little more than a subscription to play online. Each month, it allows you to collect free games on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. What titles are available in April 2021?

PlayStation Plus is none other than Sony’s premium subscription, the equivalent of Xbox Live Gold at Microsoft and Nintendo Switch Online. Introduced on PlayStation 3, it has nonetheless become mandatory for playing online on PS4 and, of course, PS5. But its price, revised upwards a few months ago, could slow down if it were only a second Internet service provider. To justify this sum, Sony has added bonuses to the subscription, which makes it downright profitable: cloud storage space (100 GB), exclusive discounts on the PlayStation Store and, more interestingly, free games. every month.

Each beginning of the month, PlayStation Plus members can therefore download at least two PlayStation 4 games at no additional cost. The selection is uneven from month to month and, of course, only accessible during the period concerned. Once you’ve downloaded a game, it’s yours for as long as you’re subscribed.

From November 2020, Sony is adding the PS5 to the PlayStation Plus. Next-gen console owners will get a collection of must-have (and improved) PS4 titles right away. Starting with release, there will be one PS5 game per month.

The PlayStation Plus is now offered under three formulas: one year (59.99 euros), three months (24.99 euros) and one month (8.99 euros).

  • Days Gone (PS4): Disappointing at launch, this open world game has received several updates and is now a successful experience. In short, this is the right time to get started;
  • Zombie Army 4 : Dead War (PS4): a nag game where you have to kill zombies in Hitler’s pay.

  • Final Fantasy VII Remake (PS4): One of the best RPGs of all time has seen a total reinvention in 2020. Please note that the version offered as part of the PlayStation Plus will not be eligible for a free upgrade on PS5. But it remains a nice gift for subscribers;
