A record number of 4,200 corona patients have died in Brazil in one day

The infection is out of control in Brazil, where hospitals have too many patients and too few supplies.

Once again, Brazil has set a record in the number of confirmed corona deaths in one day. Thus, 4249 deaths have been registered on Thursday in the last 24 hours.

Already, Brazil’s hospitals are on the brink of collapse with far too many corona patients and far too few supplies.

According to a survey by Johns Hopkins University, almost 13.3 million cases of infection and 345,025 corona-related deaths were registered among Brazil’s 212 million inhabitants during the pandemic.

Only in the United States have more deaths been recorded. Here, 560,083 deaths and almost 31 million cases of infection have been registered among the country’s 333 million inhabitants.

The United States experienced its deadliest day during the January 20 pandemic, in which 4,405 corona patients lost their lives. It shows figures from the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

While vaccinations are progressing rapidly in the United States, where one in five has now been vaccinated, Brazil’s outbreaks are out of control.

The country lacks vaccine doses, and President Jair Bolsonaro is fighting shutdowns and restrictions because they are hurting the economy.
