Briber Prabowo Edhy Lobster Export Permit Case Sued 3 Years in Prison

Suara.com – Director of PT Dua Putera Perkasa Pratama (DPPP) Suharjito was led to three years in prison in the case of bribery for the export license of Lobster seeds at the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries in 2020. The prosecution read out the prosecution from the KPK at the Corruption Crime Court, Jakarta, Wednesday (7/4 / 2021)

Apart from corporal punishment, the former Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, Edhy Prabowo, was also asked to pay a replacement fee of Rp. 200 million, a subsidiary of six months in prison.

“Sentenced the defendant Suharjito to three years imprisonment, reduced by a prison term and a fine of Rp 200 million, a subsidiary of six months in prison,” said the KPK prosecutor in the courtroom.

As for the burdensome matter, the KPK prosecutor assessed that the defendant Suharjito did not support the efforts of the people who were actively combating corruption, collusion and nepotism.

“To mitigate it, the defendant Suharjito has never been prosecuted, was cooperative, gave significant information,” said the prosecutor.

The prosecutor has considered the submission of Justice Collaborator or JC submitted by the defendant Suharjito. However, all decisions later will become the jurisdiction of the judges in rendering decisions.

In the indictment, Suharjito bribed Edhy Prabowo in the amount of Rp 2.1 billion related to the lobster seed export license at the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries in 2020.

Bribes given to Edhy through several intermediaries. Among them are two special staff to the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Andreau Misanta Pribadi and Safri; then Amiril Mukminin as Edhy’s personal secretary, and Ainul Faqih as Iis Rosita Dewi’s personal staff as a member of the DPR.

The bribes were intended to make it easier for the defendant’s company to be expedited in the approval of the Lobster seed export license at the Ministry of KP in 2020.

As for the KPK indictment, the defendant Suharjito was charged with Article 5 paragraph (1) letter a or Article 13 of Law Number 20 of 2001 in conjunction with Article 64 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.
