Juventus vs Napoli, Pirlo gives explanation not to play Szczesny – Andrea Pirlo raised his voice following not being played by Wojciech Szczsny against Napoli. The Juventus coach said that Szczsny still did not lose his position in his squad.

During his pre-match press conference, Pirlo claimed that Szczesny would start against Napoli. However, it was during the match that Gianluigi Buffon started to replace the former Arsenal goalkeeper.

After the match which Juventus won 2-1, Pirlo raised his voice with his decision.
“It is something that I have prepared,” said the Juve coach as reported by the Italian Football.

“There was criticism of Szczesny after the last game and I said he would still play. However, I have spoken to him, he is tired after playing a lot of games, with his national team too,” he said.

“He needs rest to start again. He is still a starter for Juventus.”

Pirlo also admitted that he was satisfied with the performance of his squad against Napoli. In the match at Allianz Stadium, Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala were important actors in the 2-1 win.

“We dropped points against Benevento and in other games. But when you work like we did for the whole game, you reap the rewards of your hard work.

“Cristiano Ronaldo also helps the team, he goes to the back and has the right attitude,” concluded Pirlo.
