Krasnoyarsk businessman Anatoly Bykov, who is in custody on charges of participating in an organized criminal group, announced his intention to go to the elections of deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
Earlier, Bykov turned to subscribers on Instagram, offering to answer how they feel about the idea of promotion. The majority approved of this decision.
“I cannot but accept your trust and support, and I agree to participate in the elections to the State Duma in a single-mandate constituency as a self-nominated candidate,” Bykov writes on Instagram.
He is confident that during the election campaign he will face “unprecedented obstacles that will be artificially created because of the fear of the current government,” but Bykov wants to “show how our Constitution works in our rule-of-law democratic state and how electoral legislation is implemented in which blacks the white man has the right of everyone to elect and be elected. “
Let us remind you that Anatoly Bykov was detained in May last year. According to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, in the 90s he headed a criminal group and came into conflict with one of the participants. Soon there was an attempt on Bykov’s life, and, according to investigators, he decided to take revenge by killing the young man and his friend.
Shortly before the arrest, Bykov announced his intention to participate in the elections. He was arrested just a month after his conviction expired and, accordingly, banned from participating in the elections. He is now in jail.
