A very important and historical model returned to MV Agusta after many years of touringThe CSS 175 nickname was Squalo!in the hands of individuals. it is about a racing CSS 175 of the 1950s with which the legend of the Grand Prix competed Mike Hailwood, 9 times World Champion.

The motorcycle was bought in 1958 by Chris Newport who used it in various amateur races before finally selling it. The traces of the motorcycle were lost from that moment and reappeared in 2012 in the Netherlands. The owner of the motorcycle was Mike Hailwood’s son, o Stanley Hailwood which eventually proceeded to its auction at Catawiki.

The motorcycle had an initial engine of 175 cc. however, for the races it rose to 204 cc. All The performance of the racing model reached 28 hp!Its accessories are genuine, even Avon tires, Megaphone exhaust and TT Amal carburetors.

Now, the motorcycle came back into the hands of MV Agusta thanks to the efforts of a high-ranking executive of the company and is expected to be reconstructed and placed in a Motorcycle Museum.

The 175 CSS 5V was built for racing use only from 1954 to 1958
