Opposing Barito Putera, Rohit Chand is Certainly Ready to Perform to Strengthen Persija

Suara.com – Persija Jakarta coach, Sudirman confirmed that one of his foreign legions, Rohit Chand, is ready to appear in the 2021 Menpora Cup quarter-finals against Barito Putera at Kanjuruhan Stadium, Malang, Saturday (10/4/2021).

According to him, there were no obstacles whatsoever to the Nepalese player. The reason is, before joining the team, Rohit had an agenda with the national team.

In addition, there were no players who were unable to appear apart from Otavio Dutra and Novri Setiawan due to accumulated cards. In fact, Marc Klok, who previously had doubts about appearing due to problems, is ready to start again.

“In the last training, Klok has returned to join. This is a plus because he is an important player,” said Sudirman in a press conference the day before the match.

“Then Rohit has just joined but his physical condition has no problem because a few days ago he played for the Nepal national team. God willing, tomorrow will play enthusiastically to bring Persija to the semifinals,” he added.

Even though they will appear with a strength that is not much different from usual, Persija is still wary of Djadjang Nurdjaman’s team. They are able to perform excellently in the group phase with a combination composition of junior and senior players.

“All barito players are dangerous, everyone must be closely guarded. Their speed is their weapon,” said the former Indonesian national team player.

As is known, Persija qualified for the quarterfinals after winning Group B with 6 points. That’s from the results of two wins and one defeat.

Meanwhile, Barito Putera qualified for the last eight with the status of Group A runner-up. Djadjang Nurdjaman’s team collected 5 points from one win and a draw.
