Vinicius controlled Kroos’ long ball with his chest and controlled the ball before unleashing his right-footed shot to beat goalkeeper Alisson.
Marco Asensio scored Madrid’s second goal after capitalizing on a mistake from Trent Alexander-Arnold before Mohamed Salah pulled one back for Liverpool. Vinicius added Madrid’s third goal, this time from Luka Modric’s cross.

After the match the young Brazilian praised Kroos for his ability to provide the right pass for him.
“Toni is extraordinary, he is a great player, a club legend,” said Vinicius as reported by Soccernet. “When he plays, he shows a class that no one else has. I thank him for the pass.”
Meanwhile Vinicius – who has been criticized for his sharpness since joining Real Madrid in 2018, previously scored just two Champions League goals, and this time doubled his collection for Madrid in this quarter-final tie.
“People outside are talking, but I keep working. My teammates give me the strength needed to arrive at important moments and score the goals we need,” he concluded.
