Suara.com – Sriwijaya FC officially wrote to PSSI. The club from Sumatra proposed that Liga 2 for the 2021 season be allowed to use foreign players.
Sriwijaya FC suggested that Liga 2 2021 be allowed to use foreign players. The club, nicknamed Laskar Wong Kito, has officially sent a letter to PSSI.
In the letter, Sriwijaya FC wants each club to be allowed to use a maximum of two foreign players for the competition later.
Because, according to the letter sent by Sriwijaya FC, foreign players will have a positive impact to increase the value of Liga 2 2021 and sponsor interest.
“In order to increase the value / value of the PSSI League 2 competition and to increase sponsorship interest for participating clubs, we hereby propose to allow the presence of foreign players in the PSSI League 2 competition,” wrote a letter from Sriwijaya FC.
“The maximum number of foreign players we are proposing is 2,” continued the letter.
Sriwijaya FC has twice proposed that Liga 2 be allowed to use foreign players. Previously, they also proposed the same thing for the 2020 season.
Liga 2 itself was last allowed to use foreign players in 2014. At that time, the name of the competition was still First Division.
