These are Jokowi’s brief comments when Kaesang will acquire Persis Solo

Suara.com – Kaesang Pangarep, the son of President Joko Widodo alias Jokowi, apparently asked for his father’s blessing when he was about to acquire the Liga 2 club, Persis Solo. Jokowi immediately gave his blessing with just a word.

As is known, Kaesang has officially become the owner of Persis since last March 20. Kaesang’s share ownership in PT Persis Solo Saestu reaches 40 percent.

Apart from Kaesang, BUMN Minister Erick Thohir also took part with a share of 20 percent. The remaining 30 percent is owned by Kevin Nugroho, and another 10 percent belongs to the internal club Persis Solo.

“Actually, at that time I met Mr. (Jokowi). From you, not many words came out. He only said; ‘continue’. not Many talk to me, because I am busy, you are also busy, “said Kaesang in a virtual press conference after meeting with PSSI Chairman Mochamad Iriawan, Wednesday (7/4/2021).

The 26-year-old man also admits that he has a high commitment to Indonesian football, especially in Solo. He claimed to have the closest target to deliver promotion to Liga 1 Persis.

Kaesang also hopes that the people of Solo can inhabit the majority of the Indonesian national team squad.

“Our initial target is to build a clean and transparent management. We also want to show the people of Solo that we are different from the old management. We are filled with young people and we want to make the people of Solo proud,” said Kaesang.

“The commitment is certain. Currently, Solo (promotion to) League 1 is a fixed price! No matter how many years, one year or more, what is clear is that Solo people must also be able to enter the Indonesian National Team and control 50 percent of the Indonesian National Team,” he boasted.
